Give every tool a job

For each app, name the workflow it supports, the person responsible, the monthly cost, and the outcome that would justify keeping it. Count usage-based fees and maintenance time.

Before consistent sales, prefer the smallest stack that supports a reliable purchase and fulfillment experience.

Match the stack to the bottleneck

At launch, concentrate on product information, checkout, fulfillment, and support. When orders become repeatable, evaluate retention and review collection.

Add deeper analytics when you have a clear question that simpler reports cannot answer. More tools create more connections to monitor and more permissions to review.

Keep an exit plan

Check export formats, permissions, theme changes, and how removal affects the storefront. Test one app at a time and record storefront performance before and after installation.

Review the stack regularly. An app that was useful during launch may no longer fit after your process changes.

Put it into practice

Make the assumptions visible. Use your own current costs in the free calculators, and read our evaluation methodology before using a recommendation.
