Explain the trade-offs.
A transparent framework for evaluating ecommerce tools without turning every recommendation into a sales pitch.
Start with the real operator task
A test begins with a defined use case, store stage, input data, success criteria, and budget. Alternatives are evaluated against the same requirements.
Make the evidence reviewable
A publishable hands-on review needs a named tester, test date, environment, screenshots or outputs, observed limitations, and a best-fit and not-for assessment. Vendor descriptions alone are not testing.
Keep editorial and commercial decisions separate
Affiliate terms, a free product, or a sponsorship cannot change a score. Material relationships must be disclosed before any commercial link.
Know what you are reading
The current guides are decision frameworks. Scored hands-on reviews and case studies will appear only when the test evidence and author information are available. No numerical product ratings are claimed in this edition.
